SCHADD [sic] - In Grubbtown, on Saturday, July 21, 1888, Henry Schadd [sic], aged 63 years. Funeral this afternoon.

In addition to the children listed below, he had another son named Christian, although born in Johnstown, did not return from Germany with the remainder of the family in the 1880s.
He also had two additional children that predeceased him:
An unnamed daughter who was born and apparently died on the same day, 6 March 1861, most likely in Johnstown, PA.
A son, Johann Heinrich Schad, born 25 July 1866 and died 16 February 1882 in Landenhausen, Vogelsbergkreis, Hesse-Darmstadt.
