Anna Rebne Anderson was born in Gol, Hollingdal, Norway, on June 24, 1852. At the age of 21 she and two of her sisters, Kari and Aagot, came to America. She met Tollef in Carpenter, IA, and they were married in 1875. They farmed 7 miles northwest of Adams in Clayton Township. She was a charter member of the Northwest Aid and served as its president for 12 consecutive years.
Tollef Anderson and Anna Nilson Rebne were married at Little Cedar on 9/8/1875. Attendants were Ole Tollefson and Thorine Knutson.
The Austin Daily Herald 1941-09-29 page 5: Mrs. Anna Anderson, 89, died at her home, 400 Vine street, yesterday morning.
She was born June 24, 1852. Survivors include a brother and six children.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p. m. from the Little Cedar Lutheran church in Adams with Rev. A. Breivek officiating. Burial will be in the Adams cemetery. Martz Funeral Home of LeRoy is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers include: S. T. Bohn, Samuel Swenson, Gust Jacobson, Andrew Ulven, John Shaw and Carl Sathre, all of Adams.
