Born in Clayton Township

Carl Oli Anderson, the son of Thomas Anderson and Anna Rebne Anderson was born November 8, 1889. He was baptized and confirmed at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church at Adams. He has made his home in the vicinity of Elkton and Adams and for the past seventeen years has made his home in Mason City, Iowa, where he worked as a carpenter and at farm labor.

When returning from work on Tuesday evening, June 4th, he met with an accident at an intersection approximately seven miles northeast of Mason City, and passed away four hours later at Mercy Hospital.

Funeral services were held from the Martz Funeral Home, LeRoy, and the Little Cedar Lutheran Church, M.L. Witte, pastor, on Friday, June 7 with burial at the Little Cedar Cemetery.

He is survived by four sisters: Mrs. Lena Hanson of Elkton, Minnesota; Mrs. Anna Wilbrecht of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Julia Wilbrecht of San Bernardino, California; Miss Alma Anderson of Washington, D.C. There are 20 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Adolph Karsburg, Oscar Asper, William Wohlers, Lee Hamilton, Oscar Anderson, and Arthur Wignes. The Mary Society of the Marshall Ladies' Aid served lunch following the service.

Cause of death according to the burial permit was a crushed chest.
