Johann Jacob Embich. s/o Christoph & Maria Elisabetha (Kuder) Embich, served as an ensign in the 2nd Battalion, Lancaster County Militia, during the American Revolution. A carpenter by trade, he married (1st) Maria Magdalena (Rohland) Embich with whom he had 3 children: Maria Elizabeth; John Jacob; and John Embich. He married (2nd) Maria Catharine (Gotz) Embich with whom he had five children: Mary Sarah; Samuel; Daniel; Rebecca; and David Embich.
