Nick, at one time, was an avid bass fisherman and was in the Cactus Bassmasters, a bass fishing club, El Paso, TX, per a former member of the club whom Sherlocks Cousin personally knows.

1940 Census - Cloverdale, Putnam Co, OH: George E Ellerbrock 49 Veronica Ellerbrock 47 and Syvester W Ellerbrock 13. His father was not listed with any employment.

Military: Enlisted 12 Nov 1945 at Ft Riley, KS in the Air Corps, PFC. He was working in the manufacture of electrical machinery and accessories and was single.

S.W. (Nick) Ellerbrock passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the age of 87. Nick was born in Cloverdale, Ohio on December 30, 1926 to parents George and Veronica Ruen Ellerbrock. He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Armella Zink, Joe Ellerbrock, John Ellerbrock, Rose Ann Bleh and Clotilda Steinke.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jackie, his daughter Lory Guilmino (Brad) and son Michael Ellerbrock. He was Papa to 4 wonderful grandchildren, Amy Bertrand (Ryan), Adam Jesionowski, Matthew Guilmino and Reid Guilmino. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Nick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army where he served in World War II and again in Korea. He was a proud member of VFW Post 8919 where he was Post Commander from 2004-2006. He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service and was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church.

Service with military honors will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:30 pm in the East Shelter at Fort Bliss National Cemetery followed by a reception at the VFW Post 8919, 5535 Saluki Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VFW Post 8919 in his memory.
