"Milton J Blakeslee, 74, of Spartansburg, RD 2, died Monday evening at Grandview Health Care Center in Titusville following an extended illness. He was born Dec 23, 1903, in Sparta Township, a son of Guy and Hettie Darrow Blakeslee. He was a retired farmer and director emeritus of the Spartansburg Fair Association and took an active interest in the fair. He is survived by two sons, Dale of Lincolnville and Mark of Spartansburg, RD 2; two daughters, Mrs Rodney (Dora Lee) Smathers of Grand Valley, RD 1, and Mrs Edward (Ione) Franz of Seneca Falls, NY, RD 2; seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Paul (Helen) Scouten of Spartansburg. A brother, Paul, and a sister, Mrs Arthur (Hazel) Scouten died previously. Friends may call...at the H Richard Hays Funeral Home of Spartansburg and attend the funeral service there at 2 pm Thursday with Rev Norwood B Futrell, pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Spartansburg, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spartansburg."
