In 1860 , "Rach" ( her nickname when young ) was staying with her uncles', Christopher Columbus Smith and his wife Martha, also in the household at that time was Uncle Charles H. Smith, both her uncles were Potters at this time, all living in Ward 14, Philadelphia. Since this was not her permanent home she was also counted in the census with her parents in Ward 13, Philadelphia, which is the normal way the census is done.
