Burlington – Charlie Dillard Finney, 90, of 3615 South Mebane Street (Burlington Manor) where he lived for five and one half years, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2013.

A visitation will be held at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Reidsville, NC, from 6-7:30 PM on Saturday, June 8, and a going home service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at People's Memorial Christian Church at 247 Highway 87 North in Burlington. Interment services will be on Monday, June 10, at 11:00 AM in the Salisbury National Cemetery Annex.

Mr. Finney was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Richard William Finney and Chattie Mae Finney. He attended People's Memorial Christian Church in Burlington. Charlie served his country for 28 years in the US Air Force and served in three wars. He was always kind to others and will be missed greatly by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Gladys Mae Finney; grandson, Christopher Charles Head; brother, James Edward Finney; sisters, Lilly Ann Dorsett and Virginia Louise Hamlett.

Charlie is survived by his two daughters, three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, four brothers, two sisters,and his companion.
