John N Boughner

Connersville - John Norbert Boughner, 73, 1000 W. 21st St., Lot 91, died Wednesday, Aug 18 at Veteran's Administration Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill for two months.

He was born Sept. 7, 1919 in Connersville, the son of Oliver and Elizabeth Baudendistel Boughner, both of whom precede him in death. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. He was a World War II Army Veteran in the 772nd Military Police Battalion, serving from November 1942 to August 1945. He was a member of the Amvets, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans. He worked at Hadley Feed Mill for several years.

Survivors include a daughter, Kim A. Johnson, of Connersville; four brothers, Tom, Bill and Marion Boughner of Connersville and Francis Boughner of Richmond; two sisters Olive Cummings of Greensburg and Margaret Gill of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Dollar, and a brother, Paul Boughner, Sr.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at the Urban Winkler Funeral home with the Rev Frank Eckstein of St. Gabriel Catholic Church officiating. Friends my call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery with the Fayette County Veteran's Council conducting graveside rites.
