Debbie is survived by three sisters, Sharon Cool, Nancy Bailey, and Vickie Cool-Hines (Michael Hines).
She is also survived by two nephews, Michael Bailey (Karol) and Cpt. Clayton L. Bailey (USAF); as well as a grandnephew, Tate Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Colonel D.L. "Frosty" Cool; her mother, Doris Cool; and her brother, Steven Cool.
She graduated from Waggener High School and Michigan State University. She was a former employee of the Louisville Zoo and the Louisville Police Department. Debbie retired after a 22-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She served in the San Antonio and Miami Divisions, with assignments that included FBI pilot and certified flight instructor.
She was an owner and breeder of champion Bloodhounds, and was a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Bloodhound Club.
The family and the Society of Former Special Agents will host a Memorial event on December 8, 2011, in Tamarac, FL. The family has chosen a private burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Louisville Zoo.
