Doris met her husband while working for a defense contractor in Guam after WWII. She was the mother of Steven L. Cool, Sharon Cool, Nancy Bailey, Deborah Cool & Vickie Cool-Hines and a sister of Master SGT Richard Schofield & Joyce Scholfield.COOL, DORIS S., 85, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Baptist East Hospital. She was a native of Evansville, IN. Doris meet her late husband while working in Guam for a defense contractor after World War II and traveled with her Marine husband and raised five children and eventually retired from the service to Louisville. Doris was an avid bowler and in her early 60s she started traveling the country shooting skeet, eventually becoming an all American championship shooter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Col. Darrell L."Frosty" Cool; and son, Steven L. Cool. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Cool, Nancy Bailey, Deborah Cool and Vickie Cool Hines (Michael Hines); grandsons, Michael P. and Lt. Clayton Bailey; sister, Joyce Holly; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Pearson's in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may go to donor's favorite choice.
