Phineas was the son of Eleazer Rosebrook and Hannah Haynes.
Note: Many people have a photo on their pages of Phineas Rosebrook identifying the photo as Phineas Rosebrook Sr. It is NOT. It is Phineas Rosebrook Jr. I have a full album left to me by my GGrandmother and it is a complete album of Phineas and Sophronia, all of their children and their childrens spouses. For further proof Sophronia is wearing the exact same dress and sitting in the exact same chair as her daughter and Phineas is sitting in the same chair as his son Lee. There is a photo of Phineas in the History of Coos Co. NH...it is only identified as Phineas Rosebrook..it is in between pages 444 and 445 dedicated to both Phineas Sr. and Phineas Jr.
Around 1800 he married Hannah Stillings, daughter of Peter Stillings and Elizabeth Tuttle.
Their children were Benjamin F., Leander, Phineas Jr, Lucius, Louisa, Eleazer, Lucius Mitchell, Mary, Laury, Lee, and Dana. Note: We have determined that "Dana" is actually James F. D. Rosebrook. Many of these died as infants or young children and are buried with them here in this family cemetery.
