MRS. MICHAEL V. JOHNSTON

Mrs. Michael V. Johnston, 48, Malga [sic], N.J., formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died in Jersey City hospital yesterday following an operation.

Before marriage she was Miss Catherine Mulhern, [sic] a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mulhern and was born in this city in 1884. [Sic- should be 1879] She resided on Butler street for many years until three years ago when she moved to Malga.

She leaves her husband; two sons, Raymond and Robert; three brothers, Francis, Jersey City; Daniel, Mount Pleasant, and James, city; also a sister, Mrs. James Boram [sic], Jersey City.

The body was brought to the city yesterday afternoon and taken to the home of Mr. Johnston's sister, Miss Sadie Johnston, 657 East Northampton street, Georgetown.

Many frineds and relatices attended the funeral of Mrs. Michael V. Johnston, who died in Jersey City hospital, which was held yesterday morning from 657 East Northampton street, Georgetown. Rev. Thaddeus Hall, O. F. M. was celebrant of a solemn high mass in St. Joseph's church. Rev. Camillus Lillus, O. F. M. was deacon and Rev. Hugh Kelly was subdeacon.

Bearers were Raymond Mulherin [Johnston?], P.J. Kennedy, John Shannon, James Mulherin, Thomas Mulligan, Sr., and Thomas Mulligan, Jr. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery, where Rev. Father Hall pronounced the final benediction.
