Mrs. Alberta Grivner of 17 North Wells Street passed away at 10 last night at her home following a stroke.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Mrs. Grivner was a member of the chruch of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception.

She leaves her husband Michael and the following children: Carl, Edward, Nancy and Bernice at home; Richard with the U.S. Marines at the Dickson City Recruiting Station, Robert, Bloomfield N.J.; Michael, Long Island, N.Y.; Mrs. Alfred Lewis, Wilkes-Barre; brothers: Frank[,] James, Daniel and Cornelius Mulhern [sic] of Wilkes-Barre; sisters Mrs. John Smurl, Mrs. Joseph Cavill, Mrs. William Murray and Mrs. Margaret O'Dea [sic] all of Wilkes-Barre.

The funeral will be held from the home where friends may call after 7 tonight.
