Stricken with a heart attack at her home, Mrs. Bessie Mulherin of 51 Sambourne Street died yesterday morning at 5:40 in Mercy Hospital. Fire Department resuscitator crew was summoned to the home and Mrs. Mulherin was taken to the hospital in the city ambulance.
Mrs. Mulherin was born in Orson, Wayne County a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kagler. Her husband James died February, 1937. Mrs. Mulherin was a member of St. Mary's Church and it's women's societies.
Surviving are these children: Mrs. William Murray, Wilkes-Barre; James, Mrs. John Smurl, both at home; Francis and Mrs. Joseph Cavill, both of Long Island New York; Cornelius, Nangatuk, Conn.; Daniel, City; sisters and a brother, Mrs. Grace Hackley, Thompson Pa; Mrs. Stuart Pete Ha[mlin-*smudged*] Pa and John Kagler, Wayne County; also 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Mc Laughlin Funeral Home, 142 South Washington Street, Saturday morning at 9. A requiem mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church at 9:30. Internment at parish Cemetery.
