SALEM - Germaine Francis (Crider) Coy, 85, of Salem, died at 1:10 p.m.Monday at Salem Community Hospital.

She was born on June 10, 1926 in Fairfield Township, Columbiana County, Ohio to the late Clarence and Mabel (Esenwein) Crider.

She was very well known in the Greenford area. She was an assistant librarian at the South Range Middle School in Greenford until 1986. She also worked at Bennett Greenhouse, Salem China, the A & P Store in Columbiana and was active with the 4 H Greenford Busy Bees.

She was a member of the Greenford Lutheran Church, an avid reader, enjoyed playing card games and bowling. She and Forrest traveled to various locations in New York, Michigan, Minnesota to vacation and go fishing.

She is survived by her children, Vicki (Husband Robert) Garrett and Lola (Husband James) Gray, both of Salem; siblings, Viola Chellis, Dorothy Moser, and Clarence Crider Jr., all of Columbiana, and Donna (Husband Dale) Mauch of Boardman; grandchildren, Danielle (Husband Steven) Matos, Ryan Gray, Jaime ( Husband Michael ) Parker; great grandchildren, Robbie, Nick, and Jake Matos, Evan, Graydon and Jackson Parker.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on April 26, 1991 by her husband, Forrest B. Coy whom she married on April 19, 1946; siblings, Janice Hawkins and Daniel Crider; a grandson Robert J. Garrett and a grand daughter-in-law Ellen Gray.

A time of visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home. The service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Michael McCarthy of the church officiating. A private burial will be held for the family at Hope Cemetery.
