SALEM --- Forrest "Bruce" coy, 71, of 91 Park Ave, died Friday morning at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa after a short illness.

Born Oct 2, 1919 in Greenford, he was a son of the late Curtis and Ruth (Cook) Coy and a life-long resident of the area.

A World War II veteran, he retired in 1983 from the Deming Pump Co after working 35 years in the experimental lab. He is a member of the Greenford Lutheran Church, a member of the disabled American Veterans and a life-member of the Washintongville VFW.

Coy is survived by his wife, Germaine (Crider) Coy; Two daughters; Mrs Robert (Vicki) Garrett of Salem and Mrs James (Lola) Gray of Columbiana; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert J Garrett of Salem in March of 1991; and a brother Curtis Coy.

Services will be held at 11am Tuesday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call for 7 to 9 pm Monday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Church.
