Thanks to Jan Bony for the following information 12/14/10:

"L.S. Boone was buried in Union Cemetery (Juniper Haven in Prineville, Crook, Oregon) plot 123. (Source: record of death from the courthouse.) Date of death is April 3, 1906, date of funeral April 5, 1906. He was buried in a pine casket and died from double pneumonia, Dr. Rosenberg was the attending physician. Mrs. Boone paid 82.00 for the cost of services, including $5.00 for the hearse for transportation. Note on top of certificate says that the deed was to be mailed to Mrs. Boone, but it is not known if there was an address written as the corner was torn off." ("Mrs. Boone" probably wouldn't be his sister, Addie, unless she married a Boone. Lincoln did not have a known wife but "Mrs. Boone" might be his sister-in-law America (Snidely) Boone.)

"Listed in Prineville Funeral Home Book 2 p. 27, gives date of death as April 4."
