At 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, November 21, he died in Leisure Lodge Nursing Home.
Mr. Denton was retired from Cannon Craft. He was a member of Davis Street Baptist church and Woodmen of the World. On November 19, 1922, he married Jodie Sloan in Hopkins County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Jodie; a daughter, Evelyn Sanders of Sulphur Springs; two brother, Glenn Denton of Cumby and Bill Denton of Longview; two sister, Opal Terry of Van and Merle Bagwell of Sulphur Springs; a grand daughter, Beverly Jo Goodwin; and one great-granddaughter, Marla Danielle Goodwin.
Funeral were held at 2 p.m. Friday November 24, in Murray-Orwosky Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Hall officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Cumby with his nephews serving as pallbearers
