SYLVESTER DINIUS, EIGHTY YEARS OLD, A CIVIL WAR VETERAN DIED TUESDAY MORNING AT 4:30 at the family residence at Woodlawn Ave. and Second St. He had been ill for some time.
Mr. Dinius was born Dec 2, 1841 in Starke Co., OH., and came to In. with his parents,,Mr. & Mrs. Peter J. Dinius, in 1858 & settled in Jackson Twp.,. He married Martha Cast, who is dead. One son Dr. Bert
Dinius is also deceased. His second marriage was to Mrs. Anna Bair, Dec. 3, 1921
Two brothers, John P. Dinius of Huntington & Theodore Dinius of Spencerville, OH., survive & two sisters, Mrs. Frank Kemp of Roanoke & Mrs J.B.Adams of Huntington.
Mr. Dinius was a soldier with the 47th regiment of the Indiana volunteer..Burial will be at Roanoke.
