The son of the late Albert and Mollie Barber Baker. He and his family moved here from Faulkner County when Elmer was a small boy.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Carter Baker and two sons Wayne Baker and wife Doris and family of Concord and Glen Baker and wife Eva and family of Banner. Another son, Melvin preceded him in death.
There are 12 grandchildren surviving. Wayne's children are Larry, Jerry, Melva Baker Rice, Harold, Teresa Baker Turner, David, Marvin and Mark. Glen's children are Roy, Allen and Douglas. Melvin had a daughter, Judy Baker Frazier.
Elmer has two surviving sisters, Myrtle Baker Frazier and Lora Baker Garner. Another sister, Maggie Baker Green preceded him in death.
Funeral and burial were at Pine Grove Church and Cemetery on Thursday Jan. 31, 1980 at 2 P M.
