Clara was born on the Alex Brazelton Ranch south of Elbert.
Alex J. Elsner was her husband. They had three girls. The first died and is buried in Elbert Cemetery.
when Clara was about 8 years old she fell ill. The ranch hands on the Brazelton ranch were worried about her and wanted to make sure she would take the medicine she needed. The gave her money every time she took the medicine and at the end of it when she was well the took the money and went to Denver to buy her a beautiful doll.
That doll is in my posession now and I treasure it very much.
Clara was a small woman about 5' 1" with brown hair. She was the Darling of the family, everyone loved her very much!
Thelma remembers her as very kind and thoughtful to all the family. Clara never had a bad word to say about anyone and she had the most pleasant and positive attitude all through her life.

Clara lived to be 100 years, 1 MO. 1 day.
