Lilian Elsner Phillips Robertson was born on September 27, 1916 in Elbert, Colorado. She lived in Ramah, Colorado before moving to Monument, Colorado where she attended Lewis Palmer High School. Lilian loved music and love to sing hymns. She was also talented on the saxophone and piano. After high school she attended Barnes Business College in Denver. Lilian did so well at her first job that they asked her to be the manager in their office in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska. It was there she met her future husband, Jack Phillips. The couple later moved to Rifle, Colorado where Jack became interested in Shale Oil Research. The couple eventually moved to Maryland for Jacks work. After Jack's death in August of 1975 in Maryland, Lilian returned to Colorado Springs.
Lilian was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she sang in Women's Choir. On May 29, 1986 she married Donald Robertson and they were both active in Sunday School class. Recently Lilian lived in Village at Skyline Nursing Center. She left there for Heaven on May 20, 2015. A time of Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. with Funeral Services to follow at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Burial will take place in Elbert, Colorado on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
