LAKE BENTON - Services for Tinne Nielsen, 92, of Lake Benton will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Lake Benton. Burial will be in the Diamond Lake Cemetery in Lake Benton Township, Lincoln County. Visitation at the Utoft-Johansen Funeral Home in Lake Benton will be from 4-8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services Tuesday.

Mrs. Nielsen died Saturday at the A.L. Vadheim Memorial Hospital in Tyler.

She was born on Feb. 23, 1897, in Minneapolis to Carl and Katrina (Anderson) Tambo. She lived with her parents in Clinton, Iowa, and attended schools in Cordova, Ill. She moved with her parents to Diamond Lake Township in 1911. On June 23, 1922, she and Peter Nielsen were married at the Diamond Lake Lutheran Church. They farmed in Diamond Lake Township and Drammen Township before retiring to Lake Benton in 1958. She had been a resident of the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Tyler for the past 16 days.

Surviving are one daughter Genevieve Dosdall of Hancock; two sisters, Katherine Christensen of Lake Benton and Maren Nielsen of Lake Benton; one brother, Chris Tambo of Albert Lee; four grandchildren and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, on son, one brother.
