Herbert E. Houske, 64, of 822 Ashland Ave., St. Paul, died Monday in Bethesda hospital after a brief illness.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Willwerschied & Peters mortuary, 1167 Grand Ave., with burial in Resurrection cemetery.
Mr. Houske, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Houske, was born in Halstad, Minnesota and had lived in St. Paul for 33 years. He was a restaurant owner in the downtown St. Paul area for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Helen F.; one daughter, Mrs. John (Diane) Hernandez. St. Paul; one sister, Miss Prudence Houske, Halstad, Minn., and five grandchildren.
