Elma J. Clark, 92, of Tacoma died March 3rd of natural causes at Tacoma Lutheran Home. She was born in Dorr, MI on March 31, 1915 to Walter and Frances (Dembinski) Fritz. Elma married Clarence Clark on September 20, 1940 in Tacoma.
Elma worked for West Coast Grocery for 20 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the Teamsters Union and Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed doing intricate needle point, traveling, gardening, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her husband; oldest grandson Todd C. Jolibois; brothers Edward, Casey and Bernie Fritz.
Elma is survived by daughters Judith l. Dufresne (Lou) of Port Orchard and Toni Clark (Richard Bell) of Alexandria, VA; sister Gertrude Pelesky of Tacoma; grandchildren Jeff, Chris and Noelle Jolibois; Karen, Jeff, Steve and David Bell; Kim Martins and Eric Dufresne; great-grandchildren Talia, Celine, Alex, Judy, Regan, Morgan, River, Megan, Sydney, Andrew, Ryan, Kayla and Katie.
There will be a celebration of life for Elma Saturday, March 8, at 3:00 pm at Rill's Tribute Center, Port Orchard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tacoma Lutheran Retirement Community/Wellness Center, 1301 N. Highland Pkwy, Tacoma, WA 98406. Online memorial at www.rill.com.
