Jim DeRubeis of Toluca, Illinois, passed away at Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois on August 1, 2012 aftr a long and brave fight with cancer. He was born in Toluca to Julius and Filomena DeRubeis, he served in World War II where he was wounded in France (receiving the Purple Heart).

Interment was in All Saints Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Des Plaines, Illinois.
