She was born February 21, 1931, in Warren, the daughter of Arthur and Dorothy Pettit Ahart.
Mrs. Camp was a member of the Southington United Methodist Church and a 52-year member and past president of the Southington Fire Department Auxiliary. Barbara was a past Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, and she was also a member of the Southington Band and Athletic Boosters. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and playing cards.
In Barbara's earlier years she worked at Leech's and the Thrift Drug Stores.
Survivors include her husband, Carmen J. Camp, whom she married in 1951; three sons, Douglas Camp of Lake Hughes, Calif., Gary Camp of Butler, Pa., and Russell Camp of Warren; one daughter, Lisa Trask of Middlefield; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Ashton of Cuyahoga Falls and Artha Hawksley of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Alfred Ahart of Tallmadge and David Ahart of Berlin Center.
Other than her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by one brother, Versie Ahart.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where family and friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Pastor John Wolfe will officiate and burial will be in Southington Reformed Cemetery, Southington.
