OBITUARY OF HANNAH FREED

Mrs. Hannah Carolina Granstedt Freed, daughter of August and Caroline Granstedt was born February 7, 1888 and died April 29, 1973 at the age of 85 years, two months and 22 days.
She was united in marriage to Oscar D. Freed July 4, 1905. Mr. and Mrs. Freed's entire married life of 42 years was spent on the August Granstedt homestead, the birthplace of Mrs. Freed.
Miss Donna Moss was her companion for the past three years.
She was a member of the Scandia United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar, one infant daughter, here parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Those who survive are: two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Tucker and Margaret Currie and husband Fred of Topeka; three sons: Oscar (Juddy) Freed and wife, Javene, of Scandia, Norman Freed and wife, Roberta, of Topeka, John Freed and wife, Agnes, of Buena Park, California; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Granstedt of Kansas City, Mo.; sister-in-law, Mrs. Bertha Granstedt of Belleville; brother-in-law, Arthur Freed of Courtland.
Funeral service for Mrs. Freed was 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 1973 at the Scandia United Methodist church with the Reverend Lyle Miller officiating. Interment was in Riverview cemetery, Scandia.
