Annie Jeanette Traylor Blackledge, 82, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Cottonwood Manor, Laurel, MS.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Erata Cemetery. Dr. John Stodghill will officiate.
Mrs. Blackledge was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of Sandersville. She graduated from Sandersville High School and the Laurel General Hospital Nursing School. She worked as a registered nurse with Laurel General Hospital, the medical office of Dr. J. K. Oates and retired from the Jones County Health Department. After retirement, she continued to nurse family and friends and was often referred to as "Dr. Blackledge".
Mrs. Blackledge was preceded in death by her husband, Ray W. Blackledge; parents, Hobson and Dorothy Walters Traylor; brothers, Marthell and Jerry Traylor and a sister, Kathryn Louise Traylor. (And a nephew, Marthell Traylor, Jr.)
She is survived by a brother, Wayne Traylor and sister-in-law, Mrs. Ginny Traylor; sister-in-law, Mrs. Marthell (Myrtis) Traylor; Mrs. Jerry (Mary Jo) Traylor; nieces, Tracy Traylor, Janie Traylor Collins, Susie Traylor Jones, Karen Traylor Hillard, Marsha Traylor Click, Kim Traylor Casey and Linda Traylor Ramos: and a nephew, Jon Traylor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Christian Food Mission of Laurel or First Presbyterian Church of Sandersville. Memeory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her stepson, Raymond C. Blackledge and three sister-in-laws, Iris Blackledge Holifield, Mary Lou Blackledge Walters and Merle Blackledge Carter.
