Mrs. Jane Arnold, relict of P.J. Arnold, died April 18 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.B. Wells in Wyalusing of a general breaking down of the system, aged 81 years. Deceased was a daughter of Daniel and Wealthy Carey and was born April 18, 1828 in Warren township. She was married to Mr. Arnold in 1849. Of their three children two, Mrs. Wells and Mrs. Flora Sleeper of Texas survive. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold for many years resided in Rome, where the former died in 1886. Mrs. Arnold had resided with her daughter at Wyalusing the past 22 years. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon and the remains taken to Rome for internment.
