Mildred was born April 13, 1922 to Ritchie Brown and Elsie Mae (Kilgore) Mitchell in Texas County, Okla.
She married Everett Bruce Cowan on Dec. 20, 1941 in Hooker, Okla.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and embroidery.
Survivors include sons: DeWayne Cowan, Stevie Cowan, Dannie Cowan, Billy Cowan, all of Balko, Okla. and Carl Cowan, Perryton, Texas; daughter, Jeannie Benson, Amarillo, Texas; brothers, Raymon Mitchell, Liberal, Bob Mitchell, Enid, Oklahoma and Dean Mitchell, Turpin, Okla. 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives.
• Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Bible Fellowship Church with Rocky Anderson and James Epp presiding.
Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery.
