George L. Kucerik, 82, WaKeeney, formerly of Hays, died Aug. 7, 2006, at Trego County-Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Calhan, CO, to Frank J. and Mary (Lazor) Kucerik. He graduated from high school in Calhan.
He married Agatha Brown on May 26, 1949, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ramah, CO. She preceded him in death on April 26, 2006.
Survivors include a son, Michael A. Kucerik of WaKeeney, KS; a brother, Robert Kucerik of Calhan, CO; two sisters, Mary Garlic of Calhan, CO; and Francis Sproch of Simla, CO; and two grandchildren.
A vigil service will be Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation Wednesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney, KS. Services will be Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney; burial in church cemetery.
