ARCOLA CHILD PASSES AWAY
Kenneth Allison Dies in Home of Parents from Ptomaine Poisoning
ARCOLA, May 22. -- Kenneth Byron Allison, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Allison, died in the family home on the Springfield Road just west of Arcola at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, May 20th.
The child was sick but a short time, suffering with ptomaine poisoning, caused from eating canned corn. The other members of the family suffered no ill effects. The family came to Arcola from Noble, Ill., locating on one of the Blackwell farms west of town and had just recently moved to their present home on the Springfield Road just at the west edge of Arcola.
The child's funeral was held in the home Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Mr. Stoddard, pastor of the Arcola Baptist church, in charge. Burial was made in the Arcola cemetery.
