Marie Grace Payne, age 96, of Flora, IL passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Flora Health Care Center in Flora.

She was born on November 15, 1916 in Richland County, IL to Everett and Neva (Wilson) Allison. She was married to Byron Freukes, Edward "Cam" McBride, and Russell Payne who all preceded her in death.

Marie was well known for her handcrafts that she made, having an eye for color and style. She also loved sewing for family and friends, making everything from rag dolls to wedding gowns. In later years she made many beautiful baby quilts. She also enjoyed crocheting and a good game of pinochle.

Marie is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Bo) Koskie; a son, Keith (Linda) Freukes; a daughter, Jan Kelly; one grandson; two granddaughters; two great-granddaughters: and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all three husbands, two brothers (Richard and Harry Allison), and two sisters (Betty Spiker and Wilma Fulfer).

Private services were held for Marie Payne with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Xenia.

The Frank & Bright Funeral Home was charge of the arrangements.
