Christian Charity, died Sunday April 16, 2006, at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc.
The former Anna Hamrock was born Dec. 27, 1912, in Latrobe, Pa.,
daughter of the late John and Elizabeh (Kovalan) Hamrock. She entered
the Convent in 1929 and professed her vows in 1932. Sister Clarice
earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Holy Family College, Manitowoc.
Sister Clarice served as an elementary teacher at St. Mary, Clarks
Mills, Sacred Heart, Oshkosh, St. Joseph, Sturgeon Bay, Immacuate
Conception, West DePere, St. Rose, Clintonville, all of Wisconsin; SS
Peter & Paul, Wellston, Ohio, St. Theresa, Kekaha, Hawaii, Santa Maria
Reina and Colegio Maria Reina, Lima, Peru. After retiring from active
ministry, she served as a helper in the craft room at the Motherhouse.
She is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity.
Survivors include The Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity; and a
sister: Sister Elizabeth Hamrock, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends also survive.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Holy Family Convent,
Manitowoc, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006, where a prayer
service will be held at 7 p.m. at Holy Family Cnvent Chapel, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006, at
Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be the Rev. Samuel D. Jadin, O. Praem with burial
at Holy Family Convent Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is
assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
