Dorothy V Weiskopf, 92, formerly of Kiel, died Saturday evening Aug. 3, 2002 at Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for the past four years. She is the former Dorothy Voland, born Sept. 9, 1909 in the Town of Mosel in Sheboygan County, daughter of the late Oscar and Alvina Weigand Voland. On Nov. 7, 1936, she married Elmer Weiskopf in the Town of Mosel and he preceded her in death on April 2, 1984.
Dorothy was a member of St. Peters UCC, Kiel, where she belonged to the Women's Guild and the Senior Social. She also was a very active member of the Kasper Beckle Wilkens Unit 99 of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1945. Serving as president since 1959, she also held the offices of secretary and sergeant at arms. Dorothy was a past Sixth District Child Welfare chairman and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Manitowoc County Council, where she served as Sergeant of Arms and Chaplain.
Survivors include Dorothy's nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Marjorie Zalewski. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
