Evelyn was the daughter of Conrad Wade and Stella Hudson Wade. Evelyn was born on the family farm in Peoria, AZ and was the second born of three children. The farm was located at 75th Avenue and Sweetwater (Lateral 20, 1/2 mile North of Q). Evelyn spent her younger years growing up on the farm and attended and graduated from Peoria schools. Evelyn married Truman Duncan in 1933. Evelyn and Truman continued to live in Peoria while raising a family of two children. Evelyn was a stay-at-home Mom during her children's younger years but later had a career which included working at the Naval Air Facility in Litchfield Park, AZ and also Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson,AZ. Truman and Evelyn were divorced and Evelyn later married Fred A. Miller. Evelyn and Fred enjoyed many happy years together which included family, friends, traveling, and trips to Europe to see ancestral homes and villages. Evelyn worked tirelessly on family genealogy and traced her ancestral roots to a Patriot in the Revolutionary War which qualified her for membership in the Daughters of The American Revolution of which she was a proud member. Evelyn enjoyed working at the Peoria Historical Society and was a dedicated volunteer who knew the history and the people of the town of Peoria, AZ. Evelyn leaves behind two children, Doris and Gary, 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren, and extended family members. Evelyn was an important part of the Wade and Duncan families and was loved by many people.
