Oscar was born on June 14, 1916 to Gus and Theresa(Tracy) Ostricill Schulz the oldest of four children, three sisters were also born of this marriage, Bennye, Millie and Lillian. After his mother passed away his father re-married and they had a daughter Esther.

He married Alvie Boettche(she spelled her name with an E) on August 25, 1945. Three daughters were born of this marriage, Lynda, Janet, Beverly. They divorced around 1956 and he married Joan Elmore several years later and had another daughter, Deborah.

He served his country in World War II as a Staff Sgt for the US Army. He served in the European Theater with the 36th division, which included the Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno,Southern France, Rhineland & Central Europe battles.. He received the E.A.M.E. Campaign Medal with 5 bronze stars, 1 bronze arrowhead, good conduct medal, distinguished unit badge, american defense service medal, combat infantryman medal,World War II Victory Medal.

After leaving the service he became a carpet installer, which he loved doing and later as that got too hard on him he was a security guard.

He remained in Texas all his life until he got down and couldn't get around by himself and one daughter took him to Florida to care for him. He was returned to Texas after his death to be buried on his beloved Texas soil.

In addition to his sisters and daughters he left behind seven g-children and seven great grand children

He passed away from Pnemonia.

He was a great man all around, while doing without he would help others if he could.
