SARANAC — Barbara J. Beecher, 75, of the Moore Road, Saranac, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at her home under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country.

She was born in Redford, Aug. 6, 1936, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine (Rasco) Collins. She married Jordan Beecher I, March 27, 1954, at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. He predeceased her June 21, 2000.

Barbara was a member of the Church of the Assumption for many years. She was a loving homemaker, and remembered for her baking, quilting, vegetable and flower gardening, and providing selfless care for relatives and friends.

Survivors include her children, Colleen Seney and her husband, Larry, Debbie Beecher, Bonnie Daniels-Flora and her husband, Butch, Barbara Ann Romeo, Mary Higgins and husband Jeffery, Joseph Beecher and his wife, Missy; sisters, Harriet Furnia, Geraldine Mead, and Catherine Furnia; grandchildren, Arlene Seney, Matthew Seney and fiance' Alexis Akey, Justin and wife Dana Daniels, Jolene Daniels, Patrick Romeo and fiancee', Maryssa Heywood, Barbie Romeo, Mindy Romeo, Norlene Buskey and husband, Mike, Steven Hartpence, Kevin Hartpence, Nick Beecher, Harley Beecher; great-grandson, Patrick Romeo; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends.

She was also predeceased by her parents; son, Jordan F. Beecher II, June 7, 2010; and sisters, Natalie Charland, Juanita Baraniak, and Roseann Pelletier.

There will be no public calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. next Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the Church of the Assumption in Redford, with Rev. Donald F. Kramberg, parish pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Donations in her memory may be made to the family to be dispersed at their discretion. Contributions can be mailed to Colleen Seney, 42 Moore Road, Saranac, NY, 12981.
