Josephine Collins

Plattsburgh...Josephine Collins, 88 of Redford, died Monday, March 7th 1994, at the CVPH Medical Center.

Born February 20th, 1906 in Standish, she was the daughter of George and Rosanna (Goddeau) Rasco.

She was a member of the Union of Prayer and a communicant of the Assumption of Mary Church.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. John (Rosanna) Pelletier of Plattsburgh, Junita Baraniak of Saranac, Mrs. Euclid (Nathalie) Charland of Redford, Mrs. Jordan (Barbara) Beecher of Redford, Mrs. Paul (Geraldine) Mead of Shelburne Falls, Mass., Mrs. Norman (Harriet) Furnia of Schuyler Falls, Catherine of Plattsburgh, three sister, Eva LaFountain of Standish, Laura Smart of Saranac, Theresa Ormsby of Greenfield, Tenn., a brother, Francis Rasco of Saranac; and 47 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, neices and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the O'Neil-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Dannemora, today from 2-4 and 7 to 9pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 4:30pm at the Assumption of Mary Church. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery in the Spring.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Assumption Church or the Saranac Rescue Squad.
