Peter was born 20 Aug 1870 in Paisley Scotland. His father brought him and the family to Rhode Island in 1889. He was involved in the textile industry as a foreman at the Salem Finishing Co. He also worked at a braid mill and lace making. He was married to Jennie Sneath. He lived in Providence from 1897 to his death in 1941.
