Mr. Carroll was a son of the late James Frank and Inez Littleton Carroll.
He was retired from the railroad and a mechanic. He attended Argillite Church of Nazarene and was a veteran of the Korean War.
His wife, Elanor Faye Carroll, preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Faye Carroll and Patricia Ann Townsend, both of Ironton Ohio; three brothers, B.J. Carroll, Earsel Carroll and Vaughn Carroll, all of Mansfield, Ohio; four sisters June Fultz and Jessie Bellew, both of Grayson, Martha Wilson of Olive Hill and Ruthie King of Fultz; and a grandchild.
