Frankston - Funeral services for Charlie Ellis, 85, of Frankston, are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church of Frankston with the Rev. Louie Barron and the Rev. Billie Bonner officiating. Burial will be in the Frankston City Cemetery under the direction of the Hassell and Foster Funeral Home of Palestine.
Mr. Ellis died Monday afternoon in a Jacksonville nursing home after a lengthy illness.
He was a farmer and was born in Tornley, Ala. He had lived in Frankston for the past 65 years.
Survivors include one son, Clyde Ellis of Frankston; two daughters, Mrs. Harry E. "Mary Eelen" Williams of Frankston and Mrs. J. C. "Vay Dell" Cook of Center; two brothers, Haywood Ellis of Jacksonville and Oscar Ellis of Palestine; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
