Obituary dated May 1971: "Norwood Man Dies After Heart Attack. Funeral services for William W. Jennings, 79, a retired Norwood farmer, were held at 2 P.M. Monday in the Oak Forest Church, with burial in the church cemetery near Norwood under the direction of Clinkingbeard of Ava. the Rev. Oscar Cuningham and the Rev. Darrell Friend officiated.
Mr. Jennings died at 2 P.M. Friday of an apparent heart attack while working in his garden. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include five sons, Archie, McClelland, Iowa, Raymond, Chicago, Ill., Roy, Columbia, Ohio, Lewis, Wichita, Kan., and Truman, Santa Monica, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Stella Horner, Ava, Mrs. Alice Bruffett, Springfield, Mrs. Rose Cisco and Mrs. Lois Dake, both of Mountain Grove; a brother, Clarence, Ava; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Mendel and Mrs. Nora Turner, both of Ava, and Mrs. Rachael Simpson, Thornfield; 37 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren."

His wife, Nellie Jane Hargis, preceded him in death in 1966. Another son, Wilbur Russell Jennings, preceded his father in death.
