Royce David Guthrie, 78, at 2805
West Meighan, who died Saturday, March 3, 1990. The Rev. Hollis Preston will officiate. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Guthrie was a native of Marshall County but lived most of his life in Etowah County. He worked for Dwight Mills and Anniston Mfg. where he retired after 40 years of service. He was a member of Alabama City Church of God and a member of Dwight Masonic Lodge No. 550.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Guthrie and parents; John L. and Bessie Mae (McLain) Guthrie.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eunie Guthrie, Gadsden; son, Donnie P. Guthrie, Gadsden; one granddaughter, Natalie Guthrie, Gadsden; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Gloria Guthrie, Gafsden; brothers, Alfred Guthrie, Centre, Truman Guthrie, Gadsden; sisters, Mrs. Vila Mae Duke, Leesburg, Easter Atchley, Gadsden; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Jerry and Clara Watkins.

Pallbearers will be Brent Guthrie, Greg Watkins, David Atchley, Durwood Atchley, Garry Guthrie, Billy (Ray) Guthrie and Jeff Guthrie. Honorary pallbearers will be all personal friends and members of Masonic Lodge No. 550.

The family will receive friends after 6 tonight at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.
