Deceased Name: Ronald I. Hall

Ronald I. Hall, 88, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy and went to be with the Lord. Memorial services: 10 a.m. Friday at Hillside Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Tim Phillips and the Rev. Richard Ernst. Inurnment: private. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ongie-Hall; his children, Patricia A. (Tim) Phillips of Hiawatha, Pamela K. Hall of Cedar Rapids and Jennifer J. Hall of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Doris Eastlund of Boone, Charlotte Jones of New York and Cedric (Helen) Hall of Boone; and his grandchildren, Marcea Oetting of Orlando, Fla., Mikkee Hall of Nashville, Tenn., Mindee (Saleem) Abdullah of Tucson, Ariz., and Mychal Hall of Phoenix; and great-grandson, Bret Oetting of Orlando, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Hall; a son, Michael R. Hall; and his parents.
Ron was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Guy and Beulah Jones Hall. He married Evelyn Gilliam on Jan. 6, 1946. She died in 2001. He then married Marjorie Ongie in January 2004. Ron was owner and operator of a service station. He enjoyed traveling with Evelyn, antique cars and good food. Ron's love for his Lord and family was endless. He served in the Air Corps during World War II.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy and special friend Debbie Paul for all her help and support.
