Plano, Texas - Paul Edward Goppert, 87, passed away on April 9, 2010, in Plano, Texas. He was born Oct. 24, 1922, in East Liverpool. Ed was the owner of Goppert Plumbing and Heating in West Virginia and Florida. He was a member of the Lions Club in West Virginia and sang in the barber shop quartet. He was also a member of the Sertoma Organization in Florida. Ed loved music and loved to dance to the Big Band sound. He will be dearly missed by his family. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Audrey L. Goppert and his sister, Edna Haynes. His survivors include his son, Doug Goppert of Colorado; daughter, Paula Wilder and husband Jack of Plano; grandchildren, Lisa Goppert of Florida, Stacey Perkins and husband Greg of Plano, Lori Hunter and husband Brad of Chicago; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. Ted Dickey Funeral Home in Plano, Texas handled the arrangements.

He is survived by his son, Doug Goppert of Colorado; daughter, Paula Wilder and husband Jack of Plano; grandchildren, Lisa Goppert of Florida, Stacey Perkins and husband Greg of Plano and Lori Hunter and husband Brad of Chicago; and five great-grandchildren.
