His name is found on the Wall of the Missing for the United States Navy on the right column a little over half way down.

On 30 October, while the Belleau Wood was patrolling with her task group east of Leyte, she shot down a Japanese kamikaze plane which fell on her flight deck aft, causing fires which set off ammunition. Before the fire could be brought under control, 92 of her crew were killed or missing. Seaman First Class Frank Thomas Alderson was one of the missing.

Frank Thomas Alderson (S/N 9967 56 20) enlisted 27 March 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
