Edward Esko Geisler was born on 16 April 1931 at Robla, California. He is the son of Walter Max and Phoebe W. (Grasser) Geisler. Walter was born in Breslau, Germany on 20 June 1897, while Phobe hailed from California and being born on 19 April 1899.

Edward enlisted in the United States Army on 19 January 1951, and was honorably discharged on 18 January 1954, as a Corporal.

In Alameda, California, on 5 October 1953, Edward married Janice L. Jandebeur. She was born in Las Vegas, Nevade on 31 March 1934 and passed away in Centralia, Washington on 10 June 2010.

On 1 March 1997, Edward passed away at the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil, Washington. He is buried in the Home's cemetery.
